Rain Garden Plant Sales

Throughout our communities, municipal leaders, neighborhood associations, groups of friends, church committees, and others are working to our protect rivers and restore habitats.

There are local stormwater fairs, rain garden workshops, native plants and stormwater tree sales, rain barrel painting contests, storm drain stenciling programs and rain garden tours. Some communities have adopt-a-stream and adopt-a-beach programs and training to become citizen water monitors.

Some municipalities are using innovative practices such as green roofs and bio-swales to address stormwater issues. Find out about these. Become an advocate for the innovative work going on in your municipality.

Get involved. You can help build a culture of stewardship for our rivers and Lake Michigan.
